Anxiety and smells

There are lots of forums regarding smelling burning, cigarette smoke, I am wondering if anyone knows if this is a sypmtom of anxiety as I have many and new ones happening all the time. I have read the forums who are suggesting it could be a brain tumor which fightens the life out of me. I would like to heare from anyone who has had this linked to anxiety. I have had this sypmtom for 9 month now and thought nothing of it until I gooled it and found many people suffer it.
