since puberty i have anxiety and panic disorder; being on meds since age 14. it sucks; and expensive. my panic attacks are: feeling of no control, my chest/heart races, palms sweat, and my tummy begins to hurt, you get a weird like hollow feeling throughout your body, and i throw up- but thats the worst of it- is feeling like your going to die but either get diarriah or you vomit,. but dealing with it is the best with treatment from a psychologist for therapy and psychiatrist for your meds. expensive, but insurance through HAP covers all except co-pays, of course. thats my experience- it doesnt get better by leaving it alone. it gets worse because you begin to keep that trigger in your brain and then over time begin to fear more and more. so by talking and feeling of comfort in your life is best, but doing the scariest things day at a time will trick your mind into seeing and believing certain things and places are okay.

I know exactly what you are going through. I just have learned to identify the feelings that I have right before I am about to have a panic attack. I then immediately find something to distract myself. I find that when I am busy doing something I enjoy doing I feel fine. Have you ever heard " Idle hands are the devil's play toys." It sound stupid but when we are not doing anything we tend to concentrate on things that are stressful and that can cause a panic attack.
