If one has had only two psychotic eposides, how long do they have to take antipsychotics?
I believe my doctor said three years and if one has three psychotic eposides= the rest of their life is suggested.

That isn't what happened to me. I've only had two and they have given me pills every day since and there has never been talk of stopping them, only reducing the dosage, which never happened.

I had one psychotic episode and i only took meds for about three months!? I didn't like the effects and when I spoke to my doc he agreed with me. (Very respectful doc in a rich town)

i've had countless psychotic episodes my whole life starting at age six, i will be on medications for the rest of my life. i used to think i could go off them and be okay but now i have accepted that going off medications is not a possibility for me.

I went 10 years without medication and had one bad depression at the end of the 10 years, I have now been back on medication for 5 years. I can't sleep without the Geodone, and I use to suffer sleep paralysis so now I refuse to be taken off of the Geodone,
