Hi
I am a 16 year old female, I recenty had an Urinary tract infection, I complained of pain in the right side when the bladder is full, the doctor tested my urine and gave me antibiotics for the tract infection.
I was on Trimethoprim, two a day for three days.

A couple of days later, I noticed the same strong smell back again, I described the smell as when you take a mint and it clears your nose, it was exactly like that and I can often smell it randomly when I am sitting down, although the smell wasn't as strong as it was before and also the lower pain had come back. I decided to
see my doctor again and he tested my urine again and comfirmed that I have got the tract infection back, so he gave me a stronger antibiotic
Ceporex, four a day for five days.
The Ceporex gave me a yeast infection but I didn't stop taking the antibiotics and I have finished the dose.
a day later after I have finished the antibiotics, my symptoms returned, the smell of the urine, going more frequently, the pain on the right side.
I often get pain and tenderness in the right side and it goes and then my bladder feels full, I go to the toliet and then the pain and tenderness in the right goes untill my bladder is next full, this is probably every 10-15 minutes. I also wet my pants a little bit.
I think the antibiotics haven't cleared up the infection properly, shall I go back and see my doctor or shall I just leave it to work for a bit longer?
Is this happening because of my yeast infection??

uti
u may have got the yeast infection due to the infection or the antibiotic. i currently have one 2. i took ciprofloxacin, 250 mg, twice a day, one tablet, for 5 days. u can't drink milk or orange juice when on this because it makes it less effective. i suggest u ask your doctor to put u on this or switch your doctor, u definately shouldn't leave it though. i finally got my mom to call the doctor after a long time and i've had it for 4 months! i don't think i took the medecine for long enough though. my doctor said i could take my pill one every other day if it upset my stomatch and i did. but i think because i did that i didn't get better or maybe i needed the meds longer, idk. you should take this after breakfast and lunch.
