Just wondering if anteriorial displacement of the TMJ but with non surgical treatment is permanent or will it at some stage be fully healed...

Thank you in advance

IT's been researched that time alone is a powerful treatment modality for the management of ADDwor (Anterior disk displacement without reduction). In a recent study,

42.5% of the ADDwor patients became asymptomatic in 2.5 years.
32.5% improved spontaneously without treatment after 2.5 years.

The gradual reduction of signs and symptoms of ADDwor was found to be non-specific and was related not to the type of treatment, but more to the passage of time...so I'd suggest that you perhaps wait it out!
