I am 17 years of age, no priory history of shoulder injury/instability.

One week ago today, I dislocated my right shoulder during a tackling drill in football. The trainer at my school didn't reset it because, as he said, "I am not trained to do that." It was out for about an hour and a half before I saw a doctor at the ER, however, he was able to get it back in without the use of medication. He also said that it had "dropped."

I have attended physical therapy three times (today being the third) and there is currently no noticeable pain or discomfort and the physical trainer (at the rehabilitation center) was surprised because the strength in my right shoulder was, for the most part, the same as the left. In regard to range of motion, in her words, "his shoulder is excellent." Since I obviously don't want to be out for the end of the season (and possibly postseason), I asked my therapist about playing and he recommended that I stay out for the remainder of the season. His only concern, however, was that the muscles were still deformed from the freshness of injury...

With a stabilizing brace, what are the dangers of coming back to practice next Monday?
