Hi
I've had an annoying throat pain for the past year and cannot figure it out. On a couple of occasions I have had a yeast infection. No problems there as it happens to me every 6 months. I usually take Diflucan and that sorts that. But I have an annoying pain on both sides of my throat. If you can picture it, it feels like it's behind my tonsils or about 1/4 of the way down my neck. It's not sore enough to stop me working or performing any activity, just annoying and persistent. I have no problem drinking or eating. I have been to my doctor and he said it was nothing and I even paid $300 to go to one of the best nose, throat, ear specialists in the country and he also said he cannot find a single thing wrong with me. But this pain persists. Can it be muscular ? I smoke between 2-3 cigarettes per day, am 37 yrs old and am fit. Should I just accept it and wait until something realy bad happens ? If it hasn;t gone in a year I doubt it will just disappear in time. I have 0 other issues, am very sporty and active etc etc. But this is so so annoying in the sense the pain is minor but the mental pain is much more. Would dearly love some feedback on this.
