I hurt my ankle 2 weeks ago. I slipped and hit it against a metal ramp, causing a small puncture wound and bruising that covered a wide area. after a week the bruising resolved and the pain subsided, but then swelling started and got progressivly worse. the area is tender, but not red.

i went to the doctor and they told me it may be infected, and gave antibiotic cream to put on and said to keep a bandage. it has not gotten better after 3 days of this.
