have you taken him to a dentist? are they actually decayed or just discolored?

even if they are pulled, his new teeth won't grow in until about 6-7 or however old most kids are when they lose those teeth naturally.

My neice had to get all of her upper teeth pulled b/c they were so rotted. Her mother let her drink soft drinks as early as a year, she was on lots of antibiotics, and she always went to bed with a bottle propped in her mouth.

They had them pulled when she was 2 and she's now 5 with no signs of them growing back. They probably won't come in until she's 6 or 7 like Bridget said.

What do you think caused this?

Is he eating a lot of sugar? Chances are it is caused by too much candy, or sugary foods, or other bad habbits.

My advise would have to be to first stop any habbits that may be causing this to prevent further decay.

Bring him to your dentist to have his teeth checked.
I don't recommend having his teeth pulled. Your baby teeth pave the way for the adult teeth, and if they are removed too early it can cause your teeth to come in crooked.

i can't believe you would want to get his teeth pulled! he should still have sparkling white teeth if you brush them twice a day. At 2 or 3 years old his teeth should not look rotten unless, like Tanya said, he has lots of sugar

that's not true(all the time).

if as a baby, (before teeth erupt from the gums), the baby has a HIGH fever, it CAN melt the enamel off of the teeth.

This happened to me when I was about Oni's age, and it melted the enamel off of my front 2 permanent teeth.

The dentist will probably place siver caps over his teeth, to preserve them for as long as possible.

I remember you (angelosmama) mentioning this a while back. Why didn't you take him then?!

Do not get his teeth pulled. It is barbaric to do to a child. He needs teeth to learn to speak properly!

Tooth decay is treated with caps and fillings - the solution is NOT to rip them out of his mouth. He needs them for speak, for tongue devopment, facial development, and for chewing. Teeth are a lot more necessary - even baby teeth! - than you might be thinking they are.

Take him to the pediatric dentist. They specialize in small children and will fix his teeth.
