I am 49 years old and my periods have become irregular. At first i missed for 3 months. Then I started getting within two weeks apart. I have now been bleeding regularly for over two weeks. Could this be more than just changes?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Changes of bleeding pattern resulting in heavy or prolonged bleeding is not considered to be normal. This could be indicative of menopausal problems like, endometrial hyperplasia, DUB (dysfunctional uterine bleeding), presence of uterine fibroids etc.
Do not delay in visiting your gynecologist for further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. Get started on treatment as indicated to control the bleeding and regulate your periods.
Take care.
