Anal protrusion - possible hemorrhoids ?

A couple of days ago when I woke up, the right and upper portion of my anus were protruding a little - it was slightly painful, but nothing major. I had overeaten the night before, and had been overeating over the holiday season. Normally I don't eat so much.

I was able to push the protrusion back in, but it seems to come back out whenever I use the toilet. I feel somewhat bloated still, and am using the toilet more than usual.

Is this something that may go away on its own, which is simply related to holiday excess, or could it be something more systemic for which I should be seeing a doctor immediately? I have heard that things like this could be related to colon cancer.

Any help much appreciated!!

Possible Hemmorhoids
Thanks for the reply. No - not particularly. I always strain a little, but I think thats normal, isn't it? I'm making a point of keeping lots of fiber in my diet, and trying to avoid sitting still in one position for a long time, but the lumps still seem to appear whenever I use the bathroom, no matter how hard I strain. They do go back in though... I'm not sure what to make of it...

Sounds like you may have internal hemorrhoids. If so, I don't believe that they will go away without treatment.

anus
i have something similar like a small tab of anal flesh has grown or has become swelled it doesn't hurt there but i have noticed an uncomfortable feeling inside somewhere down there.it may be from the 2 hours a day i am driving and or the fact that i only drink bottled water and i too push a little when i have a bowl movement but not enough to cause a problem i think and i eat fairly healthy i don't know but i don't trust doctors to many horror stories..they only take your money cut something off or medicate you which damages other organs.any thoughts

It can be internal hemorrhoid, or hernia these are result of blood clots.

Try these for 3 weeks, drink atleast 6 glasses of water. Drink metamucil twice or thrice a day. Don't sit in a position continuously for more than 30 mins. Stand or walk in between. Eat fruits, try enema for easy BM everyday. You have to do gently. After enema lie on bed with face down for 5 mins before BM. All these instructions to avoid strain in anal wall and to get good blood circulaion.

If anal flesh has grown, then doctor have to remove by banding. But if the wall is swollen, it can go away if you take proper care.
