Q: Anal itching and pink on stool
asked by: DoctorQuestion on May 27th, 2009
Hi, for the past couple of years i have been experiencing on and off anal itching, at some periods it can be intense and others mild. That being said over the last 6months I have been noticing my stool has bright pink stains and sometimes the stool is very watery with pink stains on it as well. I have also seen that when there is no pink stains, my stool is usually oddly coloured with some parts being much darker then others. I havent experienced any severe abdominal pains but sometimes I do notice a slight pain on the right side. As far as fatigue goes, I usually do feel tired throughout the day but I take part in alot of athletic fitness programs and usually I feel fresh after all workout sessions. I would be most gratefull if you could assist me. Thanks

It is, unfortunately, not possible to render specific diagnoses over the internet. While your anal symptoms may be secondary to hemorrhoids, you should really undergo an evaluation by your physician to exclude other possibilities.
