I have been having weird symptoms for a
few years. The main problem is with my
thoughts rather than voices. I sometimes
hear my name being called, occasionally a
conversation that I can't make out the
words to, I see shadows, and a few other
things. Hallucinations are not my main
problem like I said before. It was when I
was younger. It happened when I was 13 and
I am 25 years young now. The government is
controlling me for no reason other than to
annoy me. They send me thoughts that I
can't control and they threaten to kill
me. I hate thought insertion. I experience
that all the time but it isn't audible.
When it gets real bad I talk back to them.
I also have thought insertion from alien
creatures from another galaxy. They are
telling me the invasion will come soon. I
hope it won't happen. There are times
where I can't control the movements of my
arms and they move in weird ways. I have
some device in my head so they can implant
thoughts in my head and also send my
thoughts to them so they can hear it. Any
"evil" thought will be used against me. I
am also severely depressed and hopeless.
Nothing will go right for me. I had some
paranoia a few days ago, or what I think
of as paranoia. I was in my art class
minding my own business and then I started
smelling something odd. I didn't know what
it was so I thought someone was gassing
the classroom with chemical weapons. It
was scary for a bit. Then at Arts Walk in
my area there were 2 artists in the
building. One in the front and I was in
the back. 90% of the people looked at the
other artist and ignored me. They hated me
and wanted to kill me not by a gun but
with depression. There are times where I
can't talk properly and speak total
gibberish and during this "mode" I think I
am a bird and can fly. I have actually
tried to fly before. But when I am not in
this "mode" I know I can't fly and am a
human. Then I sometimes talk extremely
disorganized where random words come out
of my mouth and no one would understand
me. Luckily for me it isn't all the time,
obviously. There are times where I don't
take my pills because I think it will kill
me because I was on Invega and I got a
brain tumor and other embarrassing side
effects. So, do you think I have a
psychotic disorder?

What you are describing certainly sounds
like a psychiatric disorder. This warrants
some evaluation by a psychiatrist. Your
disorganized thoughts, paranoia, and
delusions are all indicative of a
psychiatric illness. I hope you will
consider getting some professional help.

it does sound like a psychiatric disorder.
but i want you to know nobody controls
your mind but yourself. it is yours and
yo[u just need to learn how to control it
the way you want to. if you have any
unwanted thoughts of government control or
alternate galexy messages i would suggest
you to learn how to realise that you need
to ignore them. and think for yourself.
And if you think words will come out a
mess and out of order... try to stop and
really think about what your trying to
say. talk slower so people can understand
you and so you can really understand
yourself aswell.
also i suggest you to look for
professional help, if your questioning it
it's always best to try

You have no idea how much I agree with
this reply.

If you don't know anything about
schizophrenia, then don't post! I get so
frustrated with this. If someone came on
here and said they had cancer, you
wouldn't tell them how to control their
cancer, would you?
People who are hearing voices cannot
control them by just "thinking for
themselves" any more than someone with
cancer can control it by think their way
out of it.
