my period has always been normal and i can always tell when its about to start. Well this time its been just spotting and a little cramping, all week. My period still hasn't started and i took one test already it said not pregnant. Is it possible that I might be pregnant if i am haveing spotting and cramping like a normal period or could it be something else?

Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

Since you are having cramps then there is a chance that you may have periods in the next few days. With negative urine pregnancy test, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. However confirmed diagnosis will be by an ultrasound or you can repeat the test at a doctor’s or a lab. Hypothyroidism, contraceptive pills and polycystic disease of the ovary can cause delayed or missed periods. Pituitary tumors secreting prolactin can also cause such problems. Anemia and poor diet are other reasons for delayed or missed periods.

You need a comprehensive investigation taking all these points in consideration. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. Please discuss this with your gynecologist and get yourself investigated accordingly. Hope this helps. Take care!
