How common is it for a girl to ovulate a day after her period? That is when my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and he did not ejaculate inside of me and I would wipe him off every 5 or 6 seconds.

Not very common unless you have very short cycles. Remember the sperm can hang around for a few days after ejaculation to wait for ovulation. The official number is 7 days. The more practical guide is 5 days with more likely 3 days.

Sounds like the sex was more work than fun - rather use a condom!

Yea we always use a condom but we wanted to try something new and that just went to hell lol. Um it has been 4 weeks now and I'm a week late on my period but I don't really have any symptoms and this isn't the first time that I have been this late. I took a test about a week or 2 ago and it was negative. Do you think I'm just over thinking everything on being pregnant? I over think things a lot. Also he didn't ejaculate in me or near my vagina at all. I also pushed a tompon in me then pulled it out to clean myself more.

He might not have ejaculated but there might have been pre cum that had sperm in it, even if you did keep wiping him off. You might be late because you are worrying about it stress can do that to you. Interesting idea with the tampon but that would not do anything. His sperm goes farther then your tampon can reach. Since you took a test a week or 2 ago it would not have shown anything since it would be to early to tell. All I can say is to relax and take a test in a week if you did not get your period yet. Also use a form of birth control always! Even if it feels better without a condom. Its better to be protected then having an unplanned pregnancy

Yea we use condoms all the time except for this once. I think I'm gonna start my period soon because I feel like I usually do when I'm going to start. And I don't take birth control because I don't want to ask my mom even though she knows that I have had sex.

Also 2 weeks after we had sex I started spotting for about 6 days. A few days before I started spotting I was fingering myself and my nails are long so I may have cut myself. This has happened before and I spotted because of that. It is going to the fifth week and I've been gasy and my lower stomach hurts to push like I pulled something. I also get gasy when I'm about to start my period.

you might have had an unusual position that pushed on your organs or your vagina or even cervix wrong.

You also could FEEL like you're going to start your period, have light bleeding (implantation) and actually be pregnant...so get checked out if you think you are or might be. Better safe for that baby's sake if there is one growing in there!

It's going on the fifth week if I am pregnant and I don't feel it. I'm not sure what it feels like though. I feel like i'm going to start my period sorta. But I'm just not sure. I'm going to take a test soon anyways but I can't go to the Doctors.

Just beware that urine tests can give false negative up to 10-12 weeks...so even if it says you're negative 5-6 weeks is oftet too soon to get accurate results for lots of women. Good luck to ya!

yea I was told to take one after my missed period. And it's been a week and 2 days after my missed period. And that's the first time I've been told about the 10 - 12 week thing.

Pregnancy tests are over 99% accurate if taken correctly 1 week after the missed period. The 10-12 week information is not correct, especially for large numbers of women. I think smiliemama meant days, not weeks. Not all HPT kits are created equally. According to a study by The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, First Response Early Pregnancy Test is the most accurate. The others that follow are Clear Blue Easy One Minute and Clear Plan Easy. These three tests can detect extremely low volumes of hCG, the pregnancy hormone.

Ok but what if it's a few days after the week, will the tests still work accurately?
