I came off the pill in April and got a normal period 5 weeks later (8th May). 3 weeks later I had brown discharge for 3days (29 May aprox). At first I did not think that this was a real period so I took a home pregnancy test on the 8th of June and another on the 27th of June both of which were negative. Then I went to the doctor on the 3rd of July and it was negative again. It's been 7weeks since the brown discharge and still no period. Is there any chance that I could be pregnant? My friend took 2 tests (1 home 1 at the doctors) and both were negative, and when she still had not gotten her period in a week after she went to the doctors she took another home test and it turns out she was 9 weeks pregnant! Scary! We have been using condoms but twice we used the pull out method. I have no real symptoms except tiredness, nauseousness after I eat cramping, and back pain but that could be anything. hopefully it is just the pill messing up my cycle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. x

It can take a few months for your normal cycles to come back after the pill.

It is very very rare that both the home pregnancy test and the blood tests will both show negative while you are pregnant. You can retest. Your doctor will however have the best chance to detect pregnancy with the blood test.

Implantation could also have happened after the tests.

You could very well be pregnant, you may want to try to take another test in a few days and make sure you test with first morning urine if it comes back neg chances are your not pregnant and that your body is just trying to get used to not relying on BC.

i was on the pill for about a year and when i came off the pill i had a similar brown discharge to you. i thought nothing off it. i had no period for 3 months and very short irregular periods for the next 6 months. i have been off the pill for nearly 3 years and they have only just got to a more normal state though they are not as regular as they were before i started the pill. hope this has been helpful in some way for you. good luck
