I was supposed to start my period on Feb 23, it didnt come, then on March 6 i had a little bleeding but only when i wiped. That lasted until march 8. I had un protected intercourse on Feb 17-27 atleast once a day. Prior to Feb 17, the last date of intercourse was jan 4.I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and they are negative, so what is the deal?I already have one child and i am experiencing the same symptoms that i had with her. I am curious to know why i am having a negative result.Am i pregnant? Is it to early to tell?

Your symptoms cannot be related to pregnancy if you are having negative pregnancy tests. The reason for this is simply that the same pregnancy hormones that create pregnancy symptoms are the same hormones pregnancy tests pick up. Not enough hormones for a pregnancy test to be positive means not enough hormones to cause pregnancy symptoms.

Go see your doctor for a blood test.

i am thinking that it might be too soon for a real test becuase it has been less than a month since the date of intercourse. I called my dr and he said to wait a couple of more weeks because it hasnt been long enough even though i missed my period

Who is your doctor? You should seek a 2nd opinion, as he obviously has no clue what he is talking about!

It only takes 10-14 days after conception for your body to produce enough hormones to register on a pregnancy test. This works out to be the same time your period would be due.

If your period should have been on February 23, you would be 6 1/2 weeks pregnant.

Unless, of course, you had your period on March 6th, in which case, you wouldn't even be ovulating until about March 20th and a test shouldn't be taken in that case until April 3. I'm going to assume your doctor thought your March 6-8 bleed was a 'period'.
