Am I having a miscarriage? no cardiac activity.

ok here goes my long woe. Found out I was pregnant in the last week of February. The doctor confirmed it in the first week of March. He told me that i was 6 weeks pregnant and that I should come back the 30th of March for a check up. the week after my first check up I started having terrible cramps in my left side but no bleeding, I went to another dr as mine wasnt in and he scheduled me for a ultra sound. The Radiologist told me that he saw a gestational sac with a fetal pole of approx. 6wks and 3dys but no cardiac activity was demonstrated. he also said that hemorrage was noted in my subchrionic space (whatever that means) and that my cervix was closed (still dont know what that means). He then told me not to worry because it just might be too early to detect a heartbeat. Or if something was wrong I woul miscarry in a week 9 (YET HE SAID NOT TO WORRY)

Two days after that all pregnancy symptoms disappeared. I waited until my appointment with my doctor and he confirmed that he indeed saw a sac and a pole but no baby. He said that at two months he should at least be seeing a baby being form so that is a sign that the baby had stopped growing, so he suggested I took some pills to expell the dead fetus, I refused. Told him I would wait to expell naturally.

The point to this boring story is, is it possible for a fetus to be late in development or am I really mis carrying? should I take the pills Or wait till my body does it naturally? oh I'm also feeling cramps. Just mild ones under the bottom of my belly but not even sure if it is real or all in my head.
