A few months ago I was told by a doctor that I am borderline and it would be fixed easily with iron supplements.

However, after improving my diet and adding multivitamin supplements I still have minor symptoms.

Is it possible that I am anemic, not borderline?

Get a copy of your bloodwork and see what the results specify. I am diagnosed as Anemic through multiple CBC's (Complete Blood Counts). Since each lab has a different baseline for results, obtaining the report is crucial since age and gender factor into the diagnosis. You should be able to tell quite easily once you have the document in hand. Anything outside of the "Normal Levels" indicates Anemia. Doctors look for a low Hemocrit and Hemoglobin. As a Male, mine is under the 42 for Hemocrit and 14 for Hemoglobin. Thus, I'm anemic.
