I am a proponent of alt. medicine but only the stuff that has actually been proven to work. It bothers me that many people try out alt. med. cures alone without a practitioner, then fail, then say "alt. med. doesn't work". As if self-medicating pharmaceutically and failing would mean that "western med doesn't work".
