Acid Reflux Answer A31611
Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Permanent heart burn and nausea can be suggestive of gastritis which can be due to reflux disease. But lower abdominal pain along with heaviness in pelvis can be indicative of underlying pathology as Pelvic infection, endometritis, cervicitis etc.
A detailed pelvic examination and investigations as USG scan would help in ruling out the cause and for that you need to visit a Gynaecologist.
Regarding the heartburn and nausea the best way to control these symptoms would be lifestyle changes as:
1)Change and develop good dietary habits including, eating several small meals daily.
2)Diet should include fresh fruits, fiber rich foods and avoid spicy, fatty food items.
3)Drink lots of water.
4)DO not lie down immediately after food and keep a gap of at least 2 hours.
5)Keep the head portion elevated while lying down to avoid reflux.
6)Do some form of exercise daily.
7)Do not be empty stomach for long hours.
If all these and taking OTC remedies as Tums and Prilosec does not help at all then you might require Endoscopy to rule out ant stomach ulcers.Kindly visit a Physician for evaluation.
Take care!
