Since August I've been experiencing trouble breathing...prior to that, for about a year or so, I was very dizzy almost on a daily basis...
My family doctor did all the blood work - everything was fine.
Sent me to ear/nose doctor...he said everything looks fine...
In the mean time, my symptoms continued...then the dizzying symptoms dissapeared more or less completely and I started suffocating...when I inhale I feel like I can not get enough air in my lungs. This started in August, 2011...
My family doctor - said it's stress. I didn't agree. She then sent me for a lung test...everything is fine. She continues to believe it's stress...in the mean time offering no solution to me. When my suffocation episodes begin, they are usually 24/7...and don't end on their own.
I discovered a temporary solution - acupuncture. 2-3 visits help for about 3-4 weeks and then the suffocation returns...
And then I started thinking...what if it's an allergy...I am very healthy, exercise every day etc...but I chew a LOT of gum...maybe 2 packs a day of Trident gum each containing 14 pieces of gum...and then I thought that every morning I feel slightly better and then as the day progresses, it becomes worse and worse...
Could this be allergy to gum? Or something else?
