What can cause chest wall to swell joints to swell all lymph nodes and neck really tight with lumps that pop in at bottom of hairline and a general feelin of unwell and tired been tested for shingles and glandular fever being ongoing for 6 weeks my doc said very strange and referred me to rhematologist?

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

All your symptoms are pointing towards the possibility of infectious mononucleosis only. However to confirm the diagnosis, get a FNAB (fine needle aspiration biopsy) of the lymph nodes and swollen glands. FNAB is aspiration of the material of the glands which is done by a fine gauge needle (22 or 25 gauge) and a syringe. This will confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Hi i have been diagnosed as having tietze syndrome and am getting a bone scan and ct scan later this week . Thanks.

Hi just had ct scan then got called straight in for 2 lymph nodes removed turns out i have a bad case of sarcoidosis over 30 granulomas everywhere i'm in a bad way thanks .
