I recently celebrated my 21st birthday and up until after the party, I only drank in moderation. I drank a lot earlier in the year, but since I was prescribed Lithium, I've been told to stay away from alcohol because "I could die from kidney failure". Well, after the party, I was drunk but was fine until I drank 3 shots of rum in less than an hour and then almost immediately passed out. When I woke up in the morning(sunrise or a few hours later), I ran to the bathroom and couldn't stop throwing up until after about 5 times. I also noticed that I had severe diarrhea. I was in pain and remained nauseous until I was able to go back to sleep. I woke up a second time and threw up several times again in the bathroom. My boyfriend gave me a pill that's supposed to stop nausea and it helped. The rest of the morning I was in pain and wanted to lie down so badly but would immediately feel sick. The pill eventually took effect and I was able to go back to sleep. I remained asleep for the rest of the day until midnight. When I finally woke up, I was very weak and had no appetite. I also felt cold even though I was in bed under fleece blankets laying with my boyfriend. I couldn't feel any warmth. I went home and went back to sleep. I woke up the next morning feeling better, but not 100%. I made the mistake of drinking orange juice with my sandwich and felt nauseous for a few hours until I drank some dr. pepper. felt fine until i came home from work and ate dinner. ate homemade tacos and refried beans with orange juice. it wasn't until after i ate dinner that someone told me not to drink orange juice. so i felt incredibly nauseous until i took a 3 hour nap. afterwards, my nausea returned and so did my diarrhea.

right now, i just feel queasy and still have diarrhea. i have no appetite and sleep a lot.

i just want to know what happened to me. i've been told i suffered from alcohol poisoning, as well as a really bad hangover.

note: i've never been sick from alcohol. i also have no health insurance to go to the doctor. i don't do any drugs. i don't consider marijuana a drug. i'm prescribed lithium and lexapro for bipolar disorder. (i had stopped taking my meds a few days before this event to prepare for my party) also, i didn't eat much the night of my party. last thing i ate was a chicken teriyaki bowl from jack in the box several hours before i started drinking. i also do not regularly drink.

if it helps, all i drank that night was a tito's/cranberry, later a lone star beer, smoked weed in the back of the venue, had a birthday shot called a pink panther, then when we got back to my boyfriend's, i drank 3 shots of myers's rum in less than an hour to the pirates of the caribbean movie, and then almost immediately passed out.
