For HIV to occur, there must be a fluid HIGH in HIV. For example, semen, vaginal fluids, blood and breast milk for babies.
There has to be an activity, eg unprotected sex, sharing dirty needles, childbirth and breastfeeding.
Then, there has to be a way into the blood system. If there is no way in, there is no transmission. And HIV dies 30 seconds to a minute after it leaves the body.
Saliva does not have enough HIV to cause infection.
If you are still worried, wait 90 days from the day of supposed infection and test for HIV. You'll have peace of mind.
