I have made a statement, "You can catch AIDS". Someone disgrees. Saying you can't catch AIDS but catch HIV.
It's ignorance of public perception of this serious disease. HIV causes AIDS. HIV+ may not show signs of AIDS for long if they're managed by taking medicines which may slow the development of full blown AIDS. However, the body's immune system becomes so weak even after long term treatment, the patient develops full blown AIDS and dies. No one survives FROM AIDS or becomes HIV free after treatment. AIDS is a disease and you can catch this disease from an AIDS patient. An HIV+ person is a person who hasn't yet developed the full blown AIDS (eventually, with no cure to remove or no medicines to treat the condition) can transmit the HIV virus to others who later have full blown AIDS. Some patients may die of other complications due to the presence of the virus in body quickly without medical treatment. AIDS is terminally disease which causes by HIV virus. Historically, patients with AIDS where hospitalised and treated as it was known that complex of symptoms (or syndrome) developed in 1980. Doctors didn't know the causes. The link between HIV and AIDS was established in 1984.
Am I right? Please comment. Thanks.
