Q: aids from activated sludge ?

My husband works for the wastewater treatment plant. He got some sludge in his eye,he rinsed. Still at the end of the day his eye was feeling yucky & filmy. I need to know if there is a possibility of transmiting the aids desease this way. Please answer ASAP.
