My child age 8 has severe pain in her stomach, mostly right side. We went to the ER and they said it was a kidney infection. SHe recieved iv and oral antiobiotics. Two days later they called and said the test showed no kidney infection. They ultra sounded her appendix and say it is normal. She took antiobiotics for ten days. Now that she has been off then for 5 days her side hurts again. Any thoughts?? I am so worried.

Hello and thank you for posting your query on E health forum.

From the history it seems that your kid might be having a form of enteritis.

This is a inflammatory condition of the bowels resulting in crampy pain on and off, along with nausea, decreased appetite , etc.

She might be benefited by undergoing a CT scan of the abdomen, which can help the exact cause and location of the pain.

I hope this helps.
