Using contraceptives is against the law of God.. Why do such thing if you can't take your responsibility??

You're certainly entitled to your opinion and can choose not to use birth control if you think it goes against God's law. However, if you're looking for a debate, you need to post in the General Debate forum.
Just out of curiosity, could you give me the Bible verse(s) that support your claim?

Regarding my previous post, I asked the Birth Control Moderator to move this post to the general debate forum, which she did. lol Thanks Maddie34!

jayann, you obviously wanted to have your views known so now is your chance to voice them. What makes you say that the laws of God are anti- contraception?

No, I don't believe what you said was true. And you obviously wanted a response, otherwise, why would you bother to post anything?

i think the catholic church believes that, but other branches of the christian churches does not.

i have dysfunctional uterine bleeding and what stops the bleeding is birth control pills.
i also have a cyst, and birth control pills keeps you from having cysts because it regulates your period.

so birth control has been a life savor for me, i have other health issues i have to deal with also.

i m in love with my boyfriend, i m not perfect...never met anyone who was. we are intimate.
i am a very conscious person, and the sin that i do is between God and i.
Please dont be offended by this post, this is simply my opinion.

One could pose the question, "If God made us in His image, made us with his creative intuition, then he also made us with the ability to achieve great things, right?" Including birth control. I do not think utilizing our minds and knowing what is good for us, could be considered sinful. There are those of us on this planet that enjoy sex (which we are created to do)but do not want or are not ready for children. Some of us have mental issues that would impair pregnancy or childrearing. There are those of us with severe medical problems, who should NOT get pregnant or give birth. There are those of us who, due to medicines we take, are advised to not get pregnant, lest the fetus be deformed. Some of us have severe genetic issues that have a high percentage rate of being inherited by our offspring and we do not wish to burden our future children with said genetic issues/defects. Birth control is NOT a black and white issue, but I do not think God would banish someone to hell for utilizing it. Especially because of the above reasons. The world is already overcrowded, too many small mouths to feed that are not being fed. Would you rather a woman take birth control to protect a future life from being ruined by, say, the side effects of Accutane? Or would you rather her go ahead and conceive, even if the products of her conception are deformed, sometimes to the point of being incompatible with life? Would you rather the mother with borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, a history of abusing animals, and depression take birth control? Or would you rather her conceive and possibly abuse the child she has? What about the woman who already has too many mouths to feed at home? Risk those other hungry mouths for the sake of birth control being sinful?

Women are not incubation slaves and we have as much right to enjoy intimacy with our partners without "paying for it" as men have. I believe those who are against effective pregnancy prevention have hatred issues towards females and don't want women to enjoy themselves without suffering for it.

Not everyone is Catholic, many don't believe in God, and there's no reason they should held to those beliefs and er.. God's law against birth control.

As for people who choose to use birth control when their religion says they shouldn't-- that's their business, not yours. Though I'm sure they appreciate your concern Wink

lol! your right!
i never knew how strict the catholic church is. i m not saying anything bad because i am a lutheran which is the next denomination that was broken off from the catholic church.
but i think some Catholics believe that a man is not suppose to waste his seed. meaning it is suppose to be used for procreation and not wasted in a condom, masturbating, and if your using birth control it is being wasted.
this is my guess!!

To you, but if the OP is Catholic then there wouldn't be much of a difference to her. Catholics beleive the Church is guided by God.

And its not just a Catholic thing- they are just more noisy about their opinions. Many religions, including some Lutheran denominations, believe that birth control, when used for preventing pregnancy, is wrong.

Maddie34, Respectfully,
Alot of people dont know all the beliefs of each christian denominations are. i just happened to know the catholic church believe this because someone of this religion said it to me.
some Christians denominations interpret things differently than other Christians.
i honestly think the small things doesnt matter and if you were my friend i would visit your church.

No worries

I don't think birth control is wrong. I think everyone who is sexually active and not wanting a baby should be on some form of reliable birth control that they have been properly educated on- I was just stating that its not just Catholics that feel it is wrong. My roommate comes from a very strict Lutheran family and I only know about things we've discussed and looked up on my own.

I hardly know all the beliefs of each christian denomination. I'm still learning my own religion. Wink
