Q: After gastric bypass medications?

I had a gastric bypass done in July of 1999. I know the medications I should not take due to the possibilities of ulcerations. Now that I am older, I have had knee replacement surgery and I may need to take aspirin (or baby aspirin) for some time after being on coumadin. Is this safe for a short period of time? Or what is an apporpriate time frame for taking this kind of medication? Thank you!!!
