I do that every now and then, not all of the time.

It's quite possible that there is someone there, who knows?

Like when a pet freaks out when there is a ghost, we work the same way but don't seem to know it.

There isn't a spectrum of normal actually, thats a delusion. In fact, the word normal doesn't make sense. In fact all that there is, good crazy and bad crazy.

Anxiety is actually extremely okay, it feels bad but that tells you that you aren't an idiot, ignorance being bliss and stuff.

Can you honestly think of any particular reason why someone would feel the need to follow you around like that? If not, then I would just chalk it up to sheer paranoia.

While paranoia is recognized as a symptom of schizophrenia, it doesn't necessarily mean you are schizophrenic. That's like saying you have lung cancer, simply because you're coughing.

While we're on the subject... Isn't everyone paranoid to a certain extent? When you think about it, everyone who purchases health, car, or home insurance is paranoid they won't have funds to cover expenses of catastrophes that haven't *actually* occurred. When we wonder if we turned off our clothes iron or our curling iron or the oven, that is paranoia. When we jot down special events in our calendars, it's because we're paranoid we'll forget. When we leave 10 minutes earlier than the actual drive time to work, we're paranoid we may get caught in traffic along the way. When we bring way too much hamburger meat to the neighborhood cookout, we're paranoid too many people will show up, and we will run out of food. We're reluctant to toss our best friend the keys to our brand new sports car, because we've seen how he drives, and we're paranoid he will destroy our new toy.

And then there are those people who have one lone symptom of schizophrenia, and they are paranoid they have become schizophrenic.

Perhaps some may consider these instances to be *justifiable* paranoia, but let's be honest here... Paranoia is never *really* justifiable until after something actually happens.
