Hi shikpank,
Labor pains are apart of the process of child birth. Having a C-Section is certainly not painless. It takes far longer to recover from because it is surgery. Labor pains are no stroll in the park but once you see and hold that gorgeous baby for the first time, the labor pains will be all but a distant memory. Having a C-Section means a longer stay in the hospital and it is very painful long after you have had the baby... remember it is "surgery"
You will do just fine...don't focus on the labor pains but he joy of seeing and holding that precious gift for the very first time.
God Bless and congrats. )

I've had 4 babies, and never taken any pain meds during labor. While my case may not be the norm, it is possible that your labors will be short and tolerable. I think being relaxed and not apprehensive is a big factor in making labor go more smoothly (and perhaps more quickly). Best of luck to you!
