Hi, well i've had a number of hiv symptoms in the past couple months and i am starting to worry. I had unprotected receptive anal sex with another guy, but it was only "in there" for about 2-3 seconds because of pain, so no full intercourse was achieved, and none has had been had since. It is unknown... however from information I know, possible that he could be hiv positive, but there is no way to be sure, or even assume its likely. A couple months ago i was thinking i had mono, which the test turned out positive, so ive been recovering from that, however it shouldnt be around for much longer, and also i had oral surgery involving the removal of my wisdom teeth 6 days ago, so these symptoms could be from a NUMBER of things haha, but heres a list-
1. For awhile, have noticed red splotches on chest and abdomen, they come and go. this has been noticed since probably the beginning of summer
2. have been very fatigued and slightly nauseas, but this is prob from mono..
3. last night had a fever of 101.1 and sweating, today fever has gone away, i could have a small infection in my mouth from surgery (was on penicillin but now im on clindamycin due to chance of infection)
4. did have swollen lymph nodes during peak of mono, but now they arent swollen.
5. i do have some white spots in my mouth but its only been noticed since surgery.
i havent had any diarrhea or coughing, and i only weigh around 108 pounds, but i have had not rapid weight loss.

Should i go see the doc and get a test? it makes me very scared to think its possible i have hiv, and each day i grow more suspicious, due to fear most likely, somebody please give me some help or input, my life would appreciate it =[

Yes...get tested. If you do have HIV it is best to start treatment ASAP so that it doesn't develop into AIDS. I speak from first hand experience. Get tested. Your symptoms could be HIV related. The time you were having unprotected sex doesn't matter...it only takes a second. I am not trying to scare you but fear is worse than testing. Not knowing is much more stressful than knowing. Once you know, you can act. Not knowing paralyzes you with fear...so get tested,my friend and keep me posted as to how you are doing.Good Luck.

No, I don't think its high risk...not at all ... but I do think your doing the right thing by getting tested...you just never can tell...for your own sake and peace of mind so that you can either take action or let it go..know what I mean? Do it for you..your worth protecting,my friend!

Thank you so much for caring!
My own father is a physician and even he wont listen!
I dont have the heart to tell him i experimented with a guy lol, but i did tell him ive done sexual things with a girl, which im actually a virgin, but i had to give a valid reason, but it looks like im on my own, im gonna go in my car monday and see when i can get tested at a local hiv testing facility.
