I'm in my 20's and have always had trouble pulling back my foreskin. I usually pull it back enough to clean and leave it at that. Needless to say the situation is quite embarrassing for me, and sometimes I avoid sexual opportunities because of it.

Whats my best and fastest choice? I would rather not have to go to a doctor because of the shame factor, but I'm just ready to get this over with, and need some advice.

You can do some simple stretching exercises, do a google search. Also if you retract every time you pee that will help stretch and make it more loose. Once it is loose enough to retract when erect you'll really enjoy your foreskin. The important thing is not to stretch and cause any pain. Keeping clean is a good first step to avoid infections. Good luck

There is absolutely no shame in seeing a doctor about your foreskin! They're trained to treat you... penis and all. Seriously, a doctor probably sees 5 foreskins every day......There are stretching techniques you can do to help alleviate the tightness. Doctors can also prescribe topical treatments that can assist you in loosening the skin. There are surgical options (that don't necessarily include circumcision) that I would recommend as a very last resort. But try everything else first ... including going to see a doctor!!!! You'll thank yourself for it later.

There is a cream but I don't know if it is necessary. I didn't use a cream when I did my stretching exercises years ago. I have heard the creams do work, hope you can find them. Good luck.

Thanks! Not sure if this happens in every case, but I can pull the skin over my head now while flaccid, but it only slides a little more than halfway, then it has a weird rollover effect. Is this normal, and will it be solved by the stretching, or is this something that I should go to a doctor to consult me about?

I've read a lot about smegma, and since I've been suffering from this my entire life I thought once I got my foreskin over my head I would find a lot of "Sticky white stuff" but alas nothing. Am I going to have to pull it back even more than the head to see it, or can I rest assured that if its not on my head I don't have to worry about it.

I really do appreciate all the advice you two have given me so far, its really helping me tackle this problem head on, instead of ignoring it like I've done my entire life. Thank you!

I read if you pull back the skin pulling more from the middle of the shaft or closer to the base if avoids the rollover. I didn't have a problem with this myself. As far as the smegma I could always retract when soft so cleaning was not an issue it was retraction when hard that I had problems with. Take your time and be gentle is the best I can say, you'll get to the point when you can retract fully when hard or soft and you'll then know how lucky you are. Future girlfriends or wife will also appreciate all you're doing too.
