Q: Adortion, Killing your baby

I think abortion is killing your baby unless you have been raped that is a whole new story. But when you had sex and you get pregnant it is your responsibility and aboring your innocent baby girl or boy your blood is killing. You know what will happen..

Am i Wrong??
What do u think??

You can think it is wrong for yourself, but others deserve to make up their own minds.

So if you're raped, you're not killing your baby? Confused

what will happen?
when i was younger i always thought that if you were raped then that was theonly acceptable reason to abort. but as i grew up and i went thru life i saw other reasons why that would be an option. my mother says the same thing, oh my god youd be killing your own blood, etc etc. so youd have me suffer emotionally and physically thru 9months, with nothing to offer it,no stable job, feeling no connection with this child, then suffer the birth...just cause she wants grandkids? lol i dont think so.

everyone has their reasons, and it their choice if they want to keep it or not...not anyone else. people dont come here to be lectured by others who may call us evil, sinners, and b.s. its our choice, our bodies. seriously women of all races have been doing this for thousands of years! why does it have to be in the spotlight now? why do we have to be harrased about it now?lol

im with my boyfriend of 2 years, ive had 2 pregnancy scares and those two times i prayed that i wasnt. andi was prepared to do what i felt was right if i was pregnant. we both dont want kids right now, we dont have anything to offer, wed rather wait till our 30s.

In my case I waited to have sex to when I was prepared to be a parent. I took no chances. I look back in my life and I'm so happy this is my first pregnancy and all the excitement I don't have to remember that a first time I got pregnant I went on to kill the baby. Because when you want a baby the joy begins when you do a home pregnancy test and you see that glorious big fat positive. All I needed to do was simply wait. I also feel good that I can pray to Lord for my little one me knowing that I have never taken away a life at my own will. I thank God that my baby or fetus as you might want to call it, looks completetly healthy, no sign of Down syndrome or any other abnormality at my advanced maternal age.

You have free of choice, choice to let live or choice to let die.

Abortion
Thank you for that it really helped me.
It doesn't help u having the baby because everyone think it is bad but is it not our responsibility to have Protected sex to avoid abortion??

What makes you think these women didn't use protection? No form of birth control is 100% effective. And many people are trying to make emergency contraception like Plan B difficult to obtain. This alone causes more abortions.

We should all be fighting for wide availability of free or lost cost birth control and better sex education in our schools.

That was your choice, and nobody is trying to take that choice away from you.

I never want to be a parent, and I see no reason to live a life of celibacy just because *some* people have a problem with me aborting should my contraception fail, especially when *I* am perfectly okay with abortion.

Would you have aborted if the fetus did show signs of Down's? Or perhaps physical conditions that isn't life threatening, but severely disfigured?

If I never wanted to be a parent then I would have looked for permanent birth control methods like tubal ligation or vasectomy instead of abortion everytime I got pregnant.

No I would not abort for Down syndrome but severely disfigured yes. Typically severely disfigured will be life threathening.

What about all the woman who try for years to get a tubal ligation and no one will do it because "they will change their mind on having kids"? And not everyone has a loving, caring husband that will go out and and have their bits nipped.

I doubt that neither of the two options would work out.

You never know how hard it is to get electively sterilized until you're actively trying to get it done. It's easy for people that don't need or want the procedure to brush it off as a simple phone call and appointment. Women aren't respected to know their own mind about their reproductive needs.

I, on the other hand, was perfectly okay using reliable contraception, and knowing in the unlikely event it failed, that I would have an abortion. And actually, if used correctly, most women on hormonal birth control DON'T get pregnant. I never did. I am definitely very glad I had plenty of sex for 20 years before I got married at 41!

Oh good for you! Well the pill worked for me fantastic too and I didn't even took them the same hour everyday hehe. But after I'm done with the children I want, I don't want to take pills anymore, so maybe I will do a hormonal iud or I tell hubby to cut his nips. A friend of mine was telling me the other day how simple the vasectomy was for him. He said he only had minor discomfort the day of the procedure and next day he was right out mowing the lawn. One of my friends give her husband an ultimatun, if he didn't had the vas she would go do tubal ligation by the end of the year. She is tired of using birth control (she can't use iuds) and wants something permanent and get over it.

Go do exactly that, telling the doctors that you have zero children and never want them. Then, maybe you will see what we are talking about when we talk of doctors' refusal to do tubals on childfree women.

It might not be easy to find one but I'm sure you can find one if look hard enough.
