Here I am again. I wrote about a year ago about my son's dx of condylar resorption. I was surprised to read that you say condylar resorption is a SYMPTOM of something else. Not only is he in the minority of getting this thing, but it's idiopathic too. My son was also dx w/ an idiopathic neuromuscular disorder affecting his hips and legs. The working dx for years was neurofibromatosis, (elephant man's disease) but he doesn't have that. I was worried that the condylar resorption was a continuation of the other thing, but the specialist in Mpls says it's unrelated. My son got braces in March and we have an anticipated surgery date of summer 2010 at Shriners Hospital in Chicago. I also want to have him tested for sleep apnea since he complains of fatigue and he drools incessantly.
