How about chatting on Facebook or Messenger?

If you need an alternative to real life social interaction, I can also suggest you try to some online MMORPG games. Sometimes players do hang around in games and you get to know them and chat.

The only problem with games is that you might end up further isolating yourself in the real world and just get all your social interaction needs from online.

I know that might happen cos I had times I needed to have my game or msn on throughout the day to feel "connected" and not alone.

Another recommendation I can give is to contact a close friend whom you know will lend a listening ear, or is willing to just sit with you and accompany you. Someone who is understanding or nonjudgmental to your circumstance.

Ask your psychiatrist if there are any support group that you can join. Meet people who are experiencing similar problems will make you more receptive to opening up and sharing your stories.

I'm not realli an experienced counselor or psychiatrist. But I hope these suggestions helps. =)

Take care.
