Extremely eHealthy
It's all I have since early age retirement. I wouldn't say I am addicted but, since I found this site and I was in health care for 23 years and had to leave due to illness, it sure fills the lonely gap and still makes me feel I am helping someone. I am on my puter a lot, let's put it that way. Razz

Sometimes I feel like I would love to just help people all day long for a living...

But then...
- I don't have any formal training.
- Where do you find someone willing to pay you to do it Razz
- I doubt I would be able to support my self on the sallary? Too far along in my career. (And it might just be...no it is the depression talking...I am not too fond of my career any more).

cure your addiction to computers
My husband was addicted to the PC for about 3yrs . He was on it so much he hardly spoke to my son and me at all. I tried to tell him that it was ruining our marrige, but he could not see it. eventually i said that i really could not take any more of being in competition with a machine, so i asked him to cut down his internet time to 4 nights a week. he went mad,, no way. so i said it was either me or the PC, because i could see it had become much worse than i had thought. but he chose the PC, eventually we split up. but i knew if only i could get him to realise that it was an addiction , then i knew we would be ok. but he just refused to see it. when i knew he really was going to leave unless i let him continue with his affair with the PC, so when he was in work i got rid of the thing.. we did get divorced , but when he was on his own , he didnt have the money to buy a new PC. and after a long time he was cured, and now we have re married.. so you lot that think an addiction to a pc is not a problem, think again, especially if you have a partner or children , i didnt miss my husband for a long time when he first went, because for me, he had not been around for us for a long time . except for sitting silently in front of the pc.. and even though he didnt notice until people pointed it out to him, he had forgotten how to speak to real people, but he is cured now, and we are happier than ever.

Heh...Apparently, I don't have to force my self, not to use my pc over the weekend any more. My PC-Case is built TOTALLY stupid...

1. For some reason, my SATA drive is heating up like crazy...
2. The PCI-Express slot is directly across the ONLY available drive bay...
3. My NVidia FX is a PCI-Express card...

Conclusion...I can't play games for too long without the screen starting to look like gobbledy-gook with what I like to call "vertex-stretching"...

Solution...put the SATA drive outside the case, but that is not a proper solution as the drive would more than likely fail if it keeps on running so hot...Plus, the BIOS is picking up that the drive is heated, so the fans on the inside of the case runs at Max-RPM even tho the heat source is now outside and the inside is cooled...

Sheesh...

How's about a PC-Health forum? REALLY JUST KIDDING Wink

Last year i found out my screen had counted all the hours it was on. It had been on for >1000 hours over the 5 months I had bought it...Thats more than a month in front of a pc...I coundt believe it, I thought that would shock me and persuade me to smash the pc. This dint happen and here I am now, looking for help. Even my friends cannot help me. :S
