1) That is extremely strange. You may just have sensitive nerves. I''ve never heard of anybody having this type of reaction. My unprofessional advice is to drink more water to lower the pH of your urine output. The only thing I can think of that could cause this involves kidney and liver function. Since you can smell the pharmaceuticals, it''s a hint that the drug isn''t being properly metabolized. Get a blood test for kidney/liver function to check up on this.

As for question 2, that is also an odd thing! Adderall consists of 4 amphetamine salts: racemic (left and right isomers) amphetamine/d-amp, and two different forms of pure d-amp. Studies have shown that pure d-amphetamine is more powerful than Adderall and with less side effects. However, Adderall can feel more powerful if your brain likes one isomer over the other. It is a fact that usually one isomer causes more side effects than the other, hence drugs that are being made to only include the isomer with the least side effects.

Since you have a past history of methamphetamine abuse, the ineffectiveness of standard d-amp and amps makes sense. You may be feeling like crap because your brain is expecting more of the drug than standard dosing will give it. Coupled with liver/kidney damage, you may be getting much less than you believe you are, especially since Vyvanse has a few extra steps to be converted into the active drug over Adderall.

My first introduction to Adderall was in my final week at college. I was not a brilliant student, ever. My twin brother and I went to same classes when we were kids. He was very successful and I was awful, never care about it, though. I came to US 3 years ago to study in a college. At the time, I did not speak any English. I learned English in my first year and got ready to apply for the college that I want to study at. Things never change, I wasn't good enough at my classes, but I always thought that I actually am very smart. The only bad thing was I could not focus on anything, like, I was doing 4 things at the same time or thinking too much and get bored at the classroom easily. In my second semester, after receiving my midterm grades, I had conversation about my situation with one of my classmates, he told me that I might have ADHD. I researched it everywhere and decided to go to a psychiatrist in order to get help. We talked like 30 minutes and he told me that I definitely have ADHD. He prescribed me Adderall 20 mg capsules. I felt soooo depressed as I took it. I did even think about suiciding myself when I was on Adderall. Even though, I have so many people around me, I felt lonely. The only good thing that medication gave me is my final grades; I got B , B, B-, A and another A. Now then, I decided to take Adderall just when I really need to study. Seriously, those drugs really scare me now
