Q: Adderall and Hair Loss

Hello,

I have been taking adderall, for about six months, and it has made an extreme amount of hair fall out. I have had major hair loss in the crown area of my head, and I know that adderall is the cause. What I want to know is what in this medication is causing the hair to fall out. Why does this medication cause hair loss?? Is there something I can do (take vitamins or hair growth medications) to counteract the hair loss? The only answer I receive is to stop taking adderall altogether. I want to know if there is another alternative to this and I want to have a better understanding of WHY Adderall is making my hair fall out.

Does anyone know?

One of my friend was in the same situation as you are in, she was loosing hair, then upon someone's recommendation she tried Generic propecia and eventually the hair fall started decreasing and then came to end. She was satisfied with the results. I hope it works for you as well. She bought it from dealgeneric.com

Good Luck

Can Adderall XR Cause Hair Loss?
I have never run across hair loss as a side effect of Adder all XOR...either with my boys or with any patients I've had that have been on this medication. That does not mean that it isn't affecting you this way as everyone is different. Please be sure to voice your concerns to your doctor as it is also totally possible that your hair loss is due to a condition not yet diagnosed and totally unrelated to the medication.
