I was diagnosed with ADHD @ the age of 23, after completing a drug rehabilitation program. From 19-23, I was addicted to methadone. I was given adderall by the psychiatrist. In the last year, I started abusing the medication severely. Every attempt I've made to stop taking this medication on my own has been a complete failure, as the withdrawl from this drug turns me in to a homicidal, suicidal monster. How long could it take to feel ok if I discontinue this medication? I have a family, small children, a job. I don't eat, ( I lost over 30 lbs. in the first six months I began the adderall) I don't sleep for DAYS, I'm mad all the time, and to top it all off my hair is falling out by the handfuls. Is hair loss a side effect of adderall abuse?

This s**t is weak, yea it's great for us fathers but b***hing about it to some fake doctors wont better your life. DO METH YOU'LL LIKE IT LONGER.

Hair loss could be from lack of vitamins that adderall wipes out of your system. Take Biotin, magnesium and eat lots of bananas for potassium. Amphetamines will take a toll on your body. Try to decrease dosage gradually, then slowly get off of it if need be. I'm a mom too and there's a good side to adderall and many bad side effects too. Take care of your body-rest, exercise and eat well and you'll be able to tolerate the drugs better. Good Luck!
