I got my renogram results which show one kidney looking quite normal, working at 50% and the other is very scarred and works at 34%. Could anyone give me any advice or idea on what treatment I shuld expect? For years I have suffered with acute kidney infections which hospitilaze me on a regular basis (3 times in last 7 months!)
The problem I have is that the doctors seem to do test after test and then offer no treatmnent plan, surely there is something that can be done?
I constantly live with minor infections that I can manage with antibiotics that I take daily and some strong pain releif but as I said at times it becomes acute and I have to go into hopsital for a week or so.
A scan some months ago showed a kink in my ureter but the surgeon I saw last month said he didn't agree with the radiographers opinion and that my ureter appeared normal!! Arrgghh!! I'm so confused!!!
