He doesn't have it too bad, but he has a fair amount of acne on the top of his forehead and he gets in around and under his nose. What solution would anyone suggest that could help? Neutragina(forgive my spelling) doesn't seem to be helping

No one knows exactly what causes acne. Hormone changes might play a role. There is little evidence that foods like chocolate and greasy foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne; however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress doesn't cause acne, but stress can make it worse. To treat acne, your son can:

* Clean his skin gently
* Try not to touch his skin
* Avoid the sun

Treatments for acne include medicines and creams. He can ask for help from a dermatologist in order to diagnose the cause of the acne. If it's a hormonal problem, he might be able to take medications which will make the spots go away.
