hey guys here is my story....it all started my senior year in high school when i got mono. they thing after my mono my acid reflux occured so the doctors gave me prevacid. Its been 2 yrs now and i still have the reflux it has been on and off for the past 2 yrs. At times i can eat fast fodd evryday and not even take medicine and i will feel fine, no problems. Then, like now at this moment for the past 2 months ive felt nauseas, lump in throat with a tickle, vomit, chest pain, abdominal pain, burning in stomach.I feel nasusea 24/7 and my doctor gave me more prevacid, aciphex and nothing works. I tried malox, gaviscon, aloe vera juice, acv, honey, u name it i tried it and nothing works. i dont know wat to do anymore its ruining my life my throat or stomach hurts everyday now and its non stop. My gall bladder works 83% so thats okand my stomach digests fine. My doctor said maybe its bile, but who knows. I cant take this crap anymore i had to quit college football because i lose weight and i need all this medication. My doctor is honestly confused and i dont blame him cuz we cant find anything that makes sense. The next step is he is going to put a chip in my esophagus and he willno exactly what is coming up into my throat. Please help me out ima young kid and i want to go back tofootballand actually enjoy life. I get scared and nervous 24/7 cuz of this crap.thanx guys

Are you going to a specialist, rather than just your primary-care doctor? If not, seeing a gastroenterologist should probably be the next step.

Don't be scared. You just haven't found the treatment that is right for you. I know it sounds bad, but has your doctor talked to you about surgery to keep the acid from coming up?
