Q: Acid reflux treatment ?

Hi! i have been having this problem in my stomach for the past 5 months now, i cant digest my food & in 2 to 3 hours i throw up & particular foods cause heart burns. I looked it up online & the symptoms fit the Acid reflux, I went to the doc & she said i dint have ulcers in my stomach yet so prescribed a pill called "OMEPREX". It did me good for sometime but it wont work all the time. Please help me what do i do to get rid of this problem. I want a cure. I eat one meal a day i.e Lunch & 3 biscuits for breakfast if am hungry.I am a bit over weight for my height & I cant work out much coz my works shifts are like crazy. Am only 26 i can live like this i have so more time left to live with this problem , please help me.

You may ask your physician to reconsider your therapy.
There are other groups of meds and their combinations, used to treat symptoms of acid reflux.
Instead, Omeprex which is proton pump inhibitor, you can be give a combination of antacid and H2 blocker. This combination is especially helpful in people having symptoms after meal.
Antacids work within minutes, and H2 blockers inhibit acid secretion for 6 to 24 hours and are very useful for people who need persistent acid suppression.
