i have acid reflux and small hiatus hernia i am wondering if it is safe to take amitriptilyne with acid reflux .i have been prescribed it for upper back pain.

Interestingly, Amitriptyline may actually aggravate acid reflux (only in 1% of studied cases). Be sure to drink 2-3 liters of clean water daily. You should be OK, but monitor any symptoms.
