Q: acid reflux and teeth problems

i have been having problems with my teeth looked at them today and the bootom of them look bad i have been diagnosed with acid reflux disease i think i have heard before that one of the problem can occur from acid reflux errosion of teeth i have done some research on the internet and saw some information how teeth problems can be the cause of acid reflux disease my question is i go to a dentist and tell them that i have acid reflux and the dentist thinks problems with my teeth is from acid reflux will insurance cover most of the bill from the dentist?

Dental treatment (regardless of the cause) should be covered by dental insurance. If your teeth are eroding, your dentist will take appropriate measure. But you can control the extent of acid reflux by making diet and lifestyle changes.

Here are some dietary measures you can take right now:

* Limit citrus and tomato products, strong spices, caffeinated drinks, carbonated drinks, fatty foods, chocolate, mint, alcohol or nicotine.
* Eat smaller, more frequent meals rather than three large ones.
* Avoid food or liquids for 2-3 hours before bedtime.
