Having a problem with dry achy feeling in back of throat. Almost tends to feel a little swollen. Started 2 days ago. At one time did feel a burning sensation as well in back of throat. Sometimes also feel a twinge behind my ears.
Mostly just very dry achy feeling that will not go away.
Should I be concerned or just give it a few days to see if it goes away?

Are you on any medication? Some can cause dry mouth and throat. Do you have allergies? Have you been sick recently? Do you have any other symptoms?

If it doesn't go away after a week or gets more severe, you should see a doctor. If you are running a high fever or have any other symptoms, you should also see a doctor. It's probably just a virus, but at the worst, it's probably only strep throat (which you shouldn't ignore by any means, but is treatable with antibiotics).

Get some rest and drink plenty of fluids, in the mean time. Cough drops may help the dry feeling in your throat, as well. Feel better.

I do have and allergy history. so that could be what this is, but it is weird. Its still going on, sometimes not as bad. no fevers, no other symptoms. just achy, dry. sometimes almost sore... but its not like your typical sore throat.
I have kept hydrating, and using throat drops. We will see. I may just make an appt for a check up.
I just keep hoping it will go away.
