Q: Accurate pregnancy test

Ok, well to start off.. For those who haven't seen my other posts, I MAY be pregnant. I was told the conception happens usually around 10 days after ovulation. Today is day 9 for me (supposedly, according to a website I frequent). The past 2 days I have been smelling things that my bf hasn't. I am going to test tomorrow morning (day 10). My period isn't 'due' until the 27th (Thanksgiving morning).

Basically my question is just out of curiosity, as I know that to get an 'accurate' result I need to wait until AF is late. But my question is, could I have possibly gotten a result this morning if I had tested? Being that my sense of smell is increased.

Also, I am not faking myself out this time. I have done that in the past and if anything I'm trying to convince myself I'm not, so as not to be disappointed.

Again, I know for an 'accurate' result I need to wait. But I am just wondering what all you ladies think.

You can test, but you're probably going to end up testing after your period is due anyways.

Its really unlikely to get an accurate result less than 14 days after sex.

Anyway, thanks. Yeah pretty much what I said. I was just wondering basically if anybody else has tested before a missed AF and got a positive result? I am SO hoping for a BFP. Smile

With my first daughter, I tested every day before my missed period and got a negative. The day my period was due I finally got my positive.

I would suggest waiting until your period is due, just to be safe. You're going to waste a lot of pregnancy tests and money otherwise, and are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Well tomorrow morning I will probably test anyway (it was a free hpt with an order online). If it turns out negative (most likely will) then I will wait and see if AF shows up on time. If not, I will test the day after. Smile

Nope. My period came a few days earlier than it should have actually. But bf and I talked about it, and now that he is becoming more stable in his field at work, we will probably start TTC within the next 2 years sometime. He changed his mind and we are both impatient to start a family together. Smile YAY! Finally, he's coming around. Smile

And now he actually mentioned August of this year to possibly start TTC. =]
