A mammogram is a low-dose x-ray examination of the breasts, and is the most commonly used radiographic test to screen for breast cancer.
An ultrasound of the breast is a test that uses sound waves to form images of the breast tissue, and is also often used to gather further information about breast lumps. These are both routine and common breast imaging tests.
